Beecher Carlson National Cyber Practice Adds Oren Wortman as Managing Director

November 30, 2020

ATLANTA (November 30, 2020) – Beecher Carlson Insurance Services, LLC (“Beecher Carlson”), a specialized large account insurance broker, announces the addition of Oren Wortman as Managing Director of the National Cyber Practice. Wortman is responsible for helping risk managers and technology professionals develop strategic goals to maximize return on investment for risk mitigation solutions. He reports to John Kerns, Executive Managing Director, and will work out of Beecher Carlson’s New York office.

“Each client is different, and no two networks are the same,” commented Kerns. “Understanding the threat environment and how a company’s IT security posture relates to their probability of incurring a cyber event is key to developing the right program at the right price. Oren’s experience will elevate our ability to help provide this for our clients.”

With more than 25 years of technology and cyber risk experience, Wortman will be assisting clients and supporting brokers by helping identify and quantify risks to cyber threats such as susceptibility to ransomware, data privacy breach, and cyber related business interruption.

“We are excited to welcome Oren to the team,” said Joe Siech, Chief Executive Officer of Beecher Carlson. “His cyber risk experience will help increase our cyber practice offerings and the efficiencies within our clients’ cyber programs.”

Prior to joining Beecher Carlson, Wortman served as Director, Cyber Operations North America at Sygnia as well as Director, Cyber Risk at KPMG.

Wortman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in computer science and corporate communications from City University of New York.
