NotPetya – Are Your Computers Protected?

On June 27, 2017, “NotPetya” or “GoldenEye,” a new ransomware strain, started propagating in at least 65 countries. NotPetya has surfaced just weeks after the massive WannaCry ransomware attack and appears to be an offshoot of Petya, a ransomware that first started circulating in 2016. While NotPetya infected more than 12,500 machines in Ukraine before spreading globally, experts have discovered a “vaccine” computer within days of its release that prohibits its effects.
